The vacuum plate of the HG-series are made from solid cast aluminum for professional use. We use thick, solid, cast aluminum for our HG series vacuum tables. This creates a vacuum table with high stability and an excellent ability to avoid any type of warping.
With your order this is the vacuum table surface: The surface has a vacuum hole spacing of 10mm (0.39 inches). The table surface will harness the demand for small work piece clamping. We will be happy to help you chose the proper pump.
For the vacuum table surfaces, vacuum mats are available for purchase. These vacuum mats ensure that when the work pieces are machined, there is no damage to the vacuum table surface. In addition, the vacuum mat friction coefficient increases significantly and seals the work piece with the vacuum table by means of the vacuum mat. The vacuum mat thickness allows for a small machining distance between the work piece and vacuum table surface.
Larger HG vacuum tables with more than one port include a vacuum manifold to control the individual vacuum chambers allowing more negative vacuum pressure where you need it.
Depending on the size of the vacuum table, it is useful have separate vacuum chambers. The vacuum is then isolated within the vacuum table and separated by external ports then attached to hoses on to valves found on the vacuum manifold which has a larger single port to attach your vacuum generator by hose.
To achieve a maximum surface accuracy, it may be necessary for the customer to remove a mil thickness off the top of the vacuum table surface after mounting on your machine prior to use. Please keep in mind that once the vacuum table has been surfaced by the customer, it is no longer able to be returned.
These type vacuum tables will work well with a vacuum pump or a venturi but are NOT designed for use with a shop vacuum. A properly sized vacuum pump is required. We will be happy to recommend a vacuum pump or specify the specification for your size vacuum table.
