Vacuum Tables of the HG Series are produced from pre-machined cast aluminum tooling plate to ensure flatness. This vacuum table consists of two plates of aluminum. There is the base plate which is 7/8” thick and a top plate which is ¼ inch thick. This type of vacuum table is commonly used in machine shops and other manufacturing situations.
After the vacuum table is mounted to the work platform, it may be necessary to remove a mil thickness with a face mill to accurately match the accuracy of the CNC machine.
The number of ports or hoses coming off the vacuum table is also the same number of vacuum cells within the vacuum table. For vacuum tables with more than one port, it allows for the capability to turn on and off sections of the vacuum table from the manifold.
This type of vacuum table uses a vacuum mat which is included with the sale of the vacuum table. Also included is a solid rubber mat with a 0.015 inch thickness which is used to cover areas of the vacuum table not in use and can help maintain the holding strength of the vacuum.
